Allana participated in Australia in Rugby Sevens, but then knee injuries caused her to be absent for a few seasons, before she switched back to Rugby League. Allana had her first ever women's rugby union game played by New South Wales and she stood out in the match that was played against Queensland. Allana's radio career has grown since she is a regular on 2GB's Continuous Call Team, a highly rated program. Ferguson confirmed to The Courier Mail that she had the injury while training in the month of November. She has been a player in the women's rugby league for several seasons.
